Monday is S.T.E.M. day at our LAE club site. We created our S.T.E.M. program to help kids
learn in a fun and exciting way how and why things work, and to inspire in them a lifelong
passion for learning and discovery.
Through practical, hands-on activities, they work together with their peers, designing, building,
experimenting and creatively solving problems. We see their competence and confidence grow
with each new challenge. Some of our recent projects include robot hands, magnet mazes,
paper helicopters, simple wheels, brick lab builds, popsicle stick catapults, calculator games and
domino runs, to name just a few. The possibilities are endless.
We believe kids need to be prepared for the future in an increasingly technology-driven world.
By making S.T.E.M. fun, we hope to arouse their curiosity and perhaps motivate them to
become the scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians of tomorrow.
